Small chargers from 20 to 35 W.
A 20 to 35 W charger is enough to fast charge most phones: an iPhone 17 takes about 28 W, a Galaxy S26 about 22 W. The difference lies elsewhere: a 20 W slows down recent iPhones, and without PPS a Samsung loses its fast charging.

How to choose well.
- 20 W is enough for an iPhone 15; an iPhone 16 or 17 charges faster with 30 W.
- For a Samsung Galaxy, get a PPS charger of 25 W or more: that’s what enables fast charging. Apple chargers have no PPS.
- A two-port 35 W charger shares its power: a phone and earbuds work well, two phones charge more slowly.
- These small chargers also suit a watch, earbuds or an iPad mini (20 W).
Frequently asked questions
Is a 20 W charger enough for an iPhone?
Yes for an iPhone 15, which takes no more than about 20 W. The iPhone 16 and 17 accept 24 to 40 W depending on the model: they charge faster with a 30 W, which costs barely more.
What’s the difference between a 20 W and a 30 W charger?
The 30 W gives full speed to the base iPhone 16 and 17 and to the Galaxy S26; the 20 W only to the iPhone 15 and older. Both are safe for the battery.
