Privacy policy

Who is responsible?

The data controller is the site's publisher, Hugo Barale. For any question about your data, write to the address given in the legal notice.

What the site does not do

Watt Mesuré asks for no account, no form and no newsletter sign-up. The site sells nothing and collects no name, address or payment details.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, browser, page requested, date). Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in providing a site that works and stays secure. These logs are managed and kept by Cloudflare under its own policy.

Visitor analytics, only with your consent

The site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google's visitor analytics tools (Google Analytics). They are used to count visits and see which pages are useful, not for advertising.

These tools only set cookies after you agree in the banner; without your consent, no analytics cookie is set. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Data concerned: pages viewed, visit duration, type of device and browser, approximate country or region, and a random identifier kept in the cookie. Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_…) last 13 months at most; the data is kept in Google Analytics for the period set there, 14 months at most.

Services loaded by the pages

The typefaces come from Google Fonts and the Three.js 3D library from cdnjs (Cloudflare). As with any website, your browser sends your IP address to these services to download them.

The links to shops and sources lead to other websites, which have their own privacy rules.

Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

The data is neither sold nor passed on. Only the publisher and the providers mentioned (Cloudflare, Google) have access to it; these providers may process it in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework they have signed up to.

What your browser keeps

The site stores two settings in your browser: the language chosen with the flags and your cookie choice. They only serve to respect your choices and never leave your device, which is why they need no consent. You will be asked about cookies again after 6 months.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability, and object to its processing, by writing to the address in the legal notice. As the site does not know who you are, it may ask you for something to find the data about you (for example the cookie identifier).

You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with the authority in your own country.

Updates

This policy may change, for example if a new tool is added to the site. Last updated: 18 October 2026.
